Alicante reveals design of new central station

The new Central Station in Alicante will have a futuristic and bright design. The building will be an interchange for the Tram, AVE high speed train, Cercanías local train lines and town buses.

The new building will act as an interchange for transport services.

A new link to the airport will run from the station, arriving in just 16 minutes.

The Mayor of the city, Sonia Castedo, presented the plans for the station with infrastructure councilor, Mario Flores, on Tuesday. The project has a budget of 35 million € and the architect of the building is Emilio Vicedo.
