Large investment planned for San Javier Airport, Murcia, Spain

The Spanish Airports Authority, AENA, are investing 4.5 million € in improvements to San Javier Airport.

The money will be spent on extending the Departures Terminal, with another 1.4 million on modernising Arrivals.

More than 900,000 passengers used San Javier Airport between January and July this year, 23.8% more than in the same period last year.

Total figures for 2006 are expected to reach two million.
