Some Tecnología Urbanística homeowners to get mains power in Spain
July 21, 2008
A total of 90 homes built by troubled builder Tecnología Urbanística which had been left without electricity by Iberdrola are to be connected up to mains supply.
San Miguel de Salinas mayor Ángel Sáez told CB News yesterday (Thursday) morning: “90 homeowners at El Galán urbanisation will be able to contract their electricity supply directly with Iberdrola in the coming days.”
Generators have been providing power to the properties for several weeks as TU has unpaid debts with the electricity company.
However another 300 El Galán homeowners in San Miguel de Salinas have not had the same fortune and their properties will continue to be supplied by generators.
One resident at El Sueño 1 said meters had been installed two years ago and the electricity installations company had been checking the boxes with Iberdrola.
“Despite this we have not heard anything from the administrator or the town hall over when we will be connected,” the resident said.
Mayor Sáez vowed two weeks ago the town hall would hand over the habitation certificates for El Galán during July.
