Trouble for Trampolín Hills Golf Resort
May 29, 2008
Trampolín Hills resort suffered a serious set back this week as the regional government froze plans to construct a golf course and 2,575 properties in Campos del Río, Murcia.
At present the company is not allowed to build at the site as the rural land has not been reclassified by the regional department for public works.
Nearly 90 per cent of the properties have been sold off plan already – with most of them purchased by British and Irish buyers.
Regional government lawyers are investigating whether the town hall proceeded properly in approving the scheme.
Public works had asked the Grupo Trampolín company to make some alterations to the initial plan. These alterations should have been approved in a full council meeting and then sent back to the regional department.
However the full council meeting was never held and the plan was returned without full council approval.
