Mayor and Polaris World chief in court

A former boss of construction giant Polaris World and the mayoress of Fuente Álamo are being investigated following the discovery of town planning irregularities at Fuente Álamo and Torre Pacheco town halls. San Javier’s judge Arancha Moreno is looking into development plans which were presented between 2004 and 2006. Former Polaris World partner Facundo Armero was questioned for three hours by the judge on Tuesday and has been told to register at the court once a month. Fuente Álamo mayoress Antonia Conesa, former councillor for public works Inés Mendoza, former councillor for town planning María del Mar Pedroño, municipal architect Jose Mariano Sánchez Martini also gave statements to the court. Judge Arancha Moreno has declared the matter sub-judice. More councillors and several town hall employees will be questioned in the coming days.
