McDonald’s upset residents in Alcoy, Costa Blanca, Spain
November 26, 2007
A residents association in the north of Alcoy has announced it would be presenting an allegation against the proposed building of a McDonald’s restaurant on a green area in La Font Dolça.
They claim their main reason for opposing the building of the restaurant is that it will be sited at the mouth of the Barranc de Serelles, which is the natural outlet for rain water.
The association is also calling for greater transparency over the town’s urban development plans.
