Improved beaches for Pilar de la Horadada, Costa Blanca, Spain

September 5, 2007

A total of 22,400 cubic metres of sand has been brought in to revamp Pilar de la Horadada’s beaches. Erosion had led to a deterioration in the state of the beaches in the area. A town hall spokesman said that Playa Higuericas-Las Villas alone needed 9,000 cubic metres of new sand. The spokesman also said the system of dunes behind Playa Higuericas-Las Villas had been reconditioned with extra sand.
