Good news for Spanish home owners looking for rental income

Spain’s sparkling beaches, guaranteed sunshine and stunning monuments attracted millions of tourists in the first quarter of this year.

The Survey of Cross-Border Tourist Movements said that between January and the end of March, more than 10 million foreigners visited Spain, an increase of 5.3% compared to the same period last year,

And last month alone, 4.1 million tourists arrived in Spain, up 6.9% compared to March 2006.

The UK remains the main market, with 2.6 million Britons visiting Spain in the first quarter.

The Germans and the French were in second and third place, respectively, and their numbers increased, as did the fourth placed Scandinavians and the Italians, who were fifth.
